Seat is very important part of gate valve, gate valves with metal seats provide sealing by metal to metal contact between the gate and seats, the seats are exposed to well conditions at all times, the tungsten carbide coating, chromium carbide, stellite is widely used for metallic seats with metallic seal.
The coating uses the HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) process, which uses high speed and injects carbide particles into the seal to achieve high adhesion strength, 1400 HV hardness and low porosity.
